Annual New Year's Cake Cutting Ceremony of the "Lygas" Fencing Club of Penteli
The annual New Year's cake cutting ceremony of the "Lygas" Fencing Club of Penteli took place in a particularly warm and festive atmosphere Pentelis, in the presence of representatives of the local government, the Hellenic Fencing Federation, sponsors, members, athletes, and friends of the club.
The event was presented and directed by the Association's General Secretary, Mr. Chrysostomos Stoforos, while greetings were given by the Association's Board of Directors, coaches Sotiris Sotiras and Fokas Michailidis, as well as the President, Mr. Theodosis Palaskas, who referred to the overall progress of the club, the values it promotes, and the goals for the new competitive season.
It was a particular honor to have representatives of the local government in attendance and to receive their greetings:

Important honorary awards were presented during the event.
Ms. Maria Vonianou, Sports Officer of the Municipality of Penteli, was honored for her long-standing and substantial support for sports and the club. In addition, the following individuals were honored via online connection:

Ms. Kelly Loufaki, Paralympic fencing champion, for her significant contribution to Greek sports and the example of ethics and strength she represents

During the event, awards were also given to athletes from the club who were accepted into higher education in last year's national exams, highlighting the importance of balance between sports and academic progress.
This was followed by the cutting of the New Year's pie and a raffle for the club's athletes, with generous prizes, while the event concluded with a buffet in a particularly pleasant and family atmosphere.
