Fencing at the 2nd Elementary School of Penteli!

On Friday, October 2, 2026, the Penteli Fencing Club – LYNX visited the 2nd Elementary School of Penteli as part of the activities for Sports Day. Our coach, Dimitris Makris, and our athletes, Sofia and Agni Palaska, representing the Hellenic Fencing Federation, presented the Olympic sport of fencing. The president of our Club, Theodosius Palaskas, also attended the event in his capacity as First Vice President of the Hellenic Fencing Federation. Approximately 250 children learned basic moves and participated with great enthusiasm in fencing games with one another, under the guidance of our coach and athletes. The students’ joy in participating and their curiosity brought the entire event to life. We extend our warmest thanks to the Principal, Ms. Zeukili, the Vice Principal, and the school’s teachers for the invitation and their hospitality. Special thanks to the physical education teachers for organizing and coordinating the event. Above all, we thank the children for the enthusiasm with which they learned about and tried our sport!
